Over the weekend of 24-25 February a team of 16 Ravenswood Swimming Club members participated in the NSW Senior Metropolitan Swimming Championships held at Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre.
The meet was a very positive one for us with wonderful swims from the start all the way through the weekend to the end of Sunday.
A true credit to all members on their performance throughout the weekend and the coaching staff hope you were all pleased with your efforts.
In summary we achieved, 1 new National Qualifier, 5 new national age qualification times, 6 medals, 16 top ten places and a 50% personal best conversion rate.
Congratulations to Tom Martin on achieving 3 National Age qualification times in the 50/100/200m Breaststroke.
Congratulations to Daniel Lawrence and Georgie Fife both adding the 50m Breaststroke to their qualifications for nationals.

Our top ten finalists were Georgie Fife x 3, Oliver Fisher x 2, Cameron Lawrence x 3, Daniel Lawrence x 3, Tom Martin x 2, Annabelle Scarlett x 1, Kirrily Woods x 1 and Consuela Zhang x 1
The meet provided our swimmers with exceptional racing practice to assist with their pursuits in school swimming and in the lead up to nationals.
The weekend was full of highlights and the coaching staff are very proud of all performance and are looking forward to this continuing throughout the remainder of the season.
